Sports physicals

Sports physicals are a vital part of sports for children. They help participants ensure that they are healthy, physically and ready to participate in their chosen sport. Many pre-participation exams have regulations depending on the rules set by various governing bodies including but not limited too state school associations or organizations overseeing each specific type of game.


Things you should know before your visit

Patients 5 years and older.Bring any required forms including a completed health and immunization history.If the athlete has a history of any type of heart problem, heart condition, or an episode or event related to their heart, we require documentation from the athlete's primary care or treating physician stating the condition has been evaluated and does not prevent participation in sports.A sports physical should not replace an annual wellness physical.

What to expect at your visit

● We will review your medical history, discuss your symptoms, examination and provide a personalized treatment plan for you.● You may need testing. Please note that additional charges apply for these tests. ● By the end of your visit, your provider will have provided education and arrange for an electronic summary of services provided.

What are the benefits of sports physicals?

Sports physicals help to make sure an athlete can safely play in their chosen sport as required by the state, school or sports organization. Even when it is not mandatory, a Sports Physical Exam will provide you with information on any concerns that may arise regarding your child's health before they participate fully into team activities such as practice sessions and games.
